Waiting For You , Track 3
I was sitting in a cafe on Cortland Ave. I didn't know what I was doing there until I saw you. You walked on by the fireplace, glowing brilliant and bright. And I wondered if I'd get a chance to know you tonight. I knew what I had come there to do. I was waiting for you. I was waiting for you. I was waiting for you. I was talking to another woman that I had met in the cafe, and I was hoping that you'd notice me, that I'd met you some way. Luckily for nervous me, you joined into the conversation. And I knew this moment could possibly be cause for a celebration. I knew what I had come there to do. I was waiting for you. I was waiting for you. So many things had to align to bring us to this place in time, so many choices had to be made to finally bring us face to face. I was waiting for you. Finally alone you and me sharing stories of the places we used to call home and of the people we had shared our lives with and how we had to let them go. We closed the place down in our Bernal town. It was time to say good night. And I am so glad I got the chance to know you tonight. I knew what I had come there to do. I was waiting for you. I was waiting for you. I was waiting for you. I was waiting for you
